2022: Lynn is leading Data Analytics and Reporting for the Coaching in the US Military Study.

 

2019-2022:  Lynn is one of the highest rated facilitators for The World Business and Executives Coaches Summit (WBECS), now owned by coaching.com, and held year round.  They highlight her on Facebook and on LinkedIn.   She holds 16 Roundtables on neuroscience topics, international coaching in the military and the value of coaching certification.

2022: Lynn joins CHIEF, the organization of most powerful women, and is facilitating multiple groups of C-Suite women, with 8-12 senior executive women in each group.

January 2022: Lynn is awarded an Advanced Diploma in Neuroscience of Leadership from Neurocapability, headed by Dr. Linda Ray in Australia.

August 2020:  Lynn is awarded her Certificate in Applied NeuroScience from the NeuroScience School, headed by Dr. Irena O'Brien in Toronto, Canada.  She also graduates from the Global Team Coaching Institute in their first class of certified team coaches, headed by Dr. Peter Hawkins and Dr. David Clutterbuck, under the auspices of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

June 2020: Lynn completed the course in Positive Intelligence by Coach Shirzad Chamine.

January 2020:  Lynn is one of the first of 20 US practitioners to be certified by Neuro-Zone, led by one of the world's leading Neuroscientists, Dr. Etienne Van der Walt, based in South Africa.  She is one of  20 US based coaches certified in his second class, and is specializing in stress management and resilience.

August 2018:  Lynn Saboe briefed OPM on the 2018 Survey of Coaching in the Federal Government which led to the following memorandum across the Federal Government.  In September 2018, The Director of OPM wrote this:

Subject: Coaching in the Federal Government

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is pleased to highlight to Federal agencies the importance of creating a coaching culture.  Coaching is a critical tool as the Federal Government strives to develop a workforce that supports the effective and efficient mission achievement and improved services to the American people.  The benefits of coaching individuals and teams include higher engagement, retention, organizational performance and productivity; increased focus on mission and organizational objectives; improved creativity, learning, and knowledge; and better relationships between people and departments.  The field and practice of coaching is broad, and contains many facets which will require more specific guidance.  This memorandum and attached Frequently Asked Questions provides guidance to Federal agencies as they plan, design, and implement coaching activities and programs. 

 

NEWS FLASH 1 // Improve the Bottom Line:  Fortune 500's Rate the Value of Executive Coaching  

The Executive Coaching Summary from Stanford Business, Rock Center for Corporate Governance, and The Miles Group delivered at The Conference Board Seminar showed that over 1/3 of CEO's of ALL Fortune 500 companies receive outside leadership advice, primarily through coaching.  ALL say they want it!   Further, 62% of those surveyed companies have had an executive coaching program in place for at least five years.  Their Boards of Directors are eager for these CEO's to improve talent development, acclimate diverse cultures during mergers and acquisitions, and to get new employees to be productive as quickly as possible.  Most of all, they want CEO's and corporate leaders to be coached.  Most use coaching to improve sharing leadership and delegation, in mentoring others, for conflict management, and in team building.  The ability to motivate and inspire was noted as making the most difference in the officers' overall effectiveness.  Coaching was credited with improving the bottom line in their P&L for each company where the CEO himself or herself was personally coached.

NEWS FLASH 2 // Innovate: Coaching improves Creativity and Innovation

Recent studies have shown that contrary to popular belief, creativity CAN be taught. It is a combination of specific skills and an ability to quiet the brain enough to reach a mindful state that gives the brain enough “space” for thoughts to flow freely. Coaches can teach these skills, including how to see the big picture, discerning how different ideas relate and intersect, picking up patterns, and translating all this information into meaningful ideas. Innovative people take risks and experiment. Coaches help clients learn to share their innovative ideas in a way that makes others more likely to adopt them. These skills include articulating an idea in 25 or fewer words, pinpointing the organization’s current state and envisioned state, and then explaining the steps necessary to reach the future state. Creativity requires mindfulness.  Creativity will not flow when you are actively trying to solve a problem. Instead, you should take breaks and build in mindfulness. Coaches can help people feel comfortable reaching a state of mindfulness to become much more innovative and creative. 

NEWS FLASH 3 // Coaching Improves Decision-Making through Mindfulness and Being Intentional

Performance depends on how you recover your energy, not how you expend it. This is because the human brain has no energy store, so its energy can rise and fall during the day like blood sugar. Coaching can help you recognize patterns of how you balance your days and when you get the most out of your decision making. Coaching can help you be aware of your body’s messages and listen to what it is trying to say.   Then you can be intentional in your decision making. With coaching, you can tap into your life’s purpose, and see how focusing on something you find meaningful lights up the creative areas of the brain.  You will then make more well thought-through decisions when you have the energy and recognize when you need to recharge.
